New Digs

SSLYBY Welcome to our new internet digs. The old site was around in various forms since the start of the band so, I thought it was time for a redesign.

New Jams!

Many new things to announce! First off we are pleased to announce the release of two new songs. 'Legionnaires' and 'Cavernosa'. Ignoring the sensible advice of our wives and girlfriends we inched our way through one the many blizzards of 2015 to Nashua, NH. Our destination: a unique studio space in a large warehouse called ‘Bopnique Musique’. The open loft space, warm acoustics, a creepy giant Kurt Cobain poster and banana beer all contributed to four lovely new jams. The sessions were engineered and mixed by band ‘record-ist' Matt Girard (Parks, Will Dailey, Ruby Rose Fox).

Show with SSLYBY

We're also super-pumped to announce a bomb-ass show! How often do you get to play with one of your favorite bands?! Not often... Friday, July 31st we're playing with Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin at Great Scott. They're touring in support of a new record. It's gonna be the jam.

Lastly, we've recently joined forces with Mr. Gavin McCarthy on drums. Gavin has a ridiculous musical resume: Karate, Brian Carpenter & The Confessions, Ted Leo, GloryTellers to name a few. Welcome G to the Sinnet-Family!

INFORMATION

Sinnet - Boston, MA. Tasty indie-pop nuggets of elementary escapism swirled together with spooky bits of fuzz, soul and atmosphere. Featuring members of The Fatal Flaw, Karate and Soft Pyramids. Initially formed by Aaron Spransy as a two mics and a laptop bedroom project during 'less-employed times' following a move from Milwaukee to Boston. Some of Sinnet's momentous occasions include: playing in a shoe store (Converse's Rubber Tracks), participating in Boston Emission's Rock 'n' Roll Rumble and sponsoring a mini-golf hole at a library. The name Sinnet comes from the license plate Aaron's late mother Mary Spransy had on several Toyota Camrys. It was a gift, she loved playing tennis.
